Description

Designs for Health RS Fibre 300 g:

RS Fibre™ contains two forms of resistant starch (RS) type II: organic green banana flour and organic potato starch powder. RS is a type of starch that is resistant to digestion, as enzymes in the GI tract are inactive against it. Once RS reaches the large intestine, it is fermented into short chain fatty acids, which are used as fuel for both beneficial microbes and enterocytes of the GI tract.

RS Fibre™ benefits GI health through its ability to support microbial balance and proper intestinal permeability and integrity. Additionally, this formula may help support optimal blood sugar, appetite control, and cardiovascular health.

arabinogalactan has been shown to increase the production of short-chain fatty acids, principally butyrate and propionate, and has been shown to decrease the generation and absorption of ammonia. Consumption of larch arabinogalactan has a significant effect on enhancing beneficial gut microflora, specifically increasing anaerobes such as Bifidobacteria and Lactobacillus”

arabinogalactan decreased the incidence of cold episodes by 23%. Improvements of serum antigen-specific IgG and IgE response to Streptococcus pneumoniae and tetanus vaccination suggest a B cell dependent mechanism.
